This is really weird.. for a while now theres been on order on my line, but now when i checked my line.. it says:
Congratulations, you are in a broadband enabled area.
However, it appears there is currently a "cease" order in progress on your line. Once this clears you will be able to order a new broadband service.
Does this mean Orange are ceasing my servic with them?
Or could it mean something else? because i didnt ask them to terminate my service...

Potentially but usually a cease is only ordered if you've cancelled or are moving house.
There is however another type of cease, a PSTN cease. This is where BT turn off your phone line due to change of details, change of account holder, payment problems, etc. What happens with these is BT turn off the phone which is pretty much instant, or in some cases just for a few moments when the system changes something, and a broadband cease order is placed because that part cannot be done instantly. So the end result is roughly 10 days later your broadband goes off for seemingly no reason.
No sure on the current process with those but you could check with BT about it, if it's a PSTN cease then they can cancel it so your broadband doesn't get turned off or tell you if the cease did come from Orange.
Thanks for that info, as far as i am aware they arent cancelling my service for any reason... only recent change was they said they were upgrading me to LLU (LLU isnt avaliable in my area yet :s) and since ive had really bad speeds, about 70kb/s max, so i emailed them and asked them to put me back on ADSL Max, think they could have be doing that?
Just checked back at sam knows, and now it's saying:
Congratulations, you are in a broadband enabled area.
However, you already have ADSL on your line. To move to another broadband provider you need to obtain a MAC (Migration Access Code) from your existing provider.
Hmm.. maybe they made a mistake? or what the hell was going on with my line yesterday =\... damn Orange annoy me..
In that case could have just been a glitch that caused it. It's possile if LLU was available in the area, it's hard to get exact dates on that, then it could have been due to that. Ask Orange in an email and they should be able to check if anything's gone on and let you know.
Yep i sent them emails asking, no reply, i sent them another one today, and still no reply.. very unprofessional..
In the one today i asked them to put me back on Max, as i got better speeds, not holding my breath for a reply and / or a usfull one that doesnt just link me to a speed tester *sigh*
