The installation CD wont run and the computer wont recognise the livebox when it is connected using a wired connection. Had no problems with my laptop, got both wired and wireless connections. My question is this. How do i get my desktop to recognise a wired connection from the livebox and is there any way of connecting my speedtouch modem to the livebox so I can use the wireless connection on my laptop?
Is there any way of installing the livebox without the installation CD, remembering its all connected and wont do it automatically.
You use either the speedtouch modem or the livebox, never both at once.
Anyway sounds like your TCP/IP settings are maybe off a bit if connecting the ethernet cable won't work straight away.
Go into...
Control Panel > Network Connections > right click the Local Area Connection select properties > highlight Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) in the list and click the properties button > make sure the two options for automatic (IP and DNS) are selected > Ok it all close off all windows and try the connection again.
