Currently upgrading to 8mbit but please move if it's not in the correct forum.
Have been with Wanadoo since March 06 and now have a £30 mobile contract with Orange on the basis of having the free/£5 broadband.
Does anyone know what rights I will have to cancel the mobile contract if the 8mbit upgrade proves to be unsuccessful? At the moment speeds are fluctuatiing between 1.7 to 3.2 mbps and I'm still in the 10 day test period.
At the moment I can't see any cheaper mobile/BB deals that match Orange so I would be reluctant to leave them if I have to.
Technically you'd only be able to cancel really if the upgrade went so wrong that you couldn't then get any connection at all afterwards. The service is always referred to as "upto" 8meg so as long as they're providing a broadband connection then it'll be hard to argue that point.
If it's on the ADSL Max system, probably is if you've not been upgraded already, then it should be ok for the upgrade and go through fairly quick.
So many people are drawn in whenever the word 'free' pops up!
The important thing to remember about Orange is they are not a broadband provider.
They are nothing more than a robbing, lying, incompetent, non-caring disgrace.
This isn't just a rant it's speaking from experience and also the thousands of others out there affected - hence this site.
Do yourself a favour and avoid Orange for broadband.
