Hey anyone out there! I have a prob, I have recently got free broadband from Orange, and eventually got it working on os9.2 using a usb modem. But when I use outlook express to manage my emails from my business email account settings I only seem to be able to recieve emails but not send, i am thinking it may have something to do with smtp. Please help!
If you've set it to use your business SMTP server then it will only work if you can access that SMTP server on another port than the default of 25. Any connection on port 25 gets routed to Orange's server as a spam prevention measure. You could however set it to Orange's so your email are sent through their servers instead.
