Sometimes when the network is slow, I have tried disconnecting from the normal login -
user@fs
and have tried the older freeserve logins, ie
user@bb3.freeserve.co.uk
and sometimes I appear to get a speed increase.
Is this logical ? am I jumping into another group with a different contention ratio or is it just peaks and troughs I am seeing some nights.
I'm sure the @fs just directs you to the network with the least traffic on, at the time of connecting, so if your nwetwork gets busy while you're connected, then yeah if you pick the right network it could work...
