I have been an Orange customer for more than one month now and the internet came free with the mobile contract of one of my flatmates. Apart from waiting a long long time, we had no problems setting up the connection. The internet has been working fine for the first two weeks or so. After that the livebox started to 'lose' the connection. The red @ light started flashing rapidly (like in the beginning, when the landline had not yet been activated) and there was no connection available. When I access the Livebox setup and check the status it says either 'link down' or 'ppp synchronisation in progress'. Sometimes we have to wait for some time (hours to days), sometimes it helps to unplug the livebox and plug it in again. But most of the time the connection only lasts for a couple of minutes before we lose it again. There are days when we don't have any problems at all and days (more frequent than the ones without problems) where it is hardly possible to send only an email.
There are two computers connected to the livebox wirelessly: One Windows XP Laptop and an Apple Macbook (both with built in wireless). The wireless connection does not seem to be the problem, I have tried a wired connection as well and don't get a connection when the status is 'link down' or 'ppp synchronisation in progress' and the light is flashing rapidly.
Several calls to the servcieline couldn't really solve the problems. Just the usual stuff like resetting the livebox and so on. I have read about lots of problems but couldn't find a post with a problem similar to mine. If anyone has an idea what could solve my problem I'd be very happy. thx
