A few other people where i live are having exactly the same problem with Orange. They upgraded our speed to 4 mb for free and now when it hits busy times on the internet (6pm) broadband constantly disconnects. It's now really starting to get on my nerves. Is there anything i can do about it?

When did it start? Mine was on Oct 23nd and like you I now have up 4mbps, after checking this site:-

I found that my exchange was unbundled by Bulldog on 22nd Oct and is now LLU, which stands for "local line unbundling", but don't ask me for an explanation. Complain to Orange but do it by e-mail not via their Mumbai Tech. support. It won't cure it but you can upset someone elses day.
