Been with Orange/wanadoo/freeserve for 5 years now, lately i've had 4 days where i could use internet for the past 20 days.So 16 days i was either disconnect for the whole day, randomly disconnected constantly during the day aswell as connecting at below 1mb speeds.
I have called Orange 10+ times, i have pretty vast amount of pc experience but when it comes to internet connections it's kind of limited however i must say Orange has to be one of the worst companies i've had anything to do with and i've been doing various accounts jobs during my life dealing with very high amount of companies so that says how bad Orange are.
Ever since i got upgraded to 8mb during summer i've never ever had over 3mb speed, my line supports 8mb and exchange. So i am fed up of being treated so badly by a company i been with a long time let alone paying £28 a month for something that only works around 30-40% of what it should do.
Anyway that said, what is a good reliable, decent priced ISP to switch to? how would i do it?
Note: I live in west london area on the outskirts if that's any help too.

Hi i migrated to IDNet but do some research on these sites ADSLguide and DSLZone UK and there you can choose decent one that suits you Orange are at the bottom of the pile on both, you need a MAC code off Orange to give to your chosen provider to move free of charge and no downtime.
Good luck.

Decided that i will go with BE unlimited £24 a month for 24mb as they seem to get good marks from that site from users, just came to my exchange near me, I requested a MAC code from Orange which takes 2-5 days.
Now the thing i can't understand, this new isp package is adsl 2 aswell as uses a more newer modem but how will i transfer to them? give them the MAC code then tell them i wish to sign up to this package? that's all?(reason i am asking this is because it's adsl 2 and newer modem so will it start up few days after i sign up for them on this new adsl 2 line?)
Hope i do not sound too confusing, thanks for help.
How good is that ISP steve? never getting any hassle?
One more thing where can i get a programme that reveals the db noise margin on my line? i see tests where people show their download/upload speed followed by the db measurements of the line yet i do not know where this is from.

Hi
I think with Be they will send you a SpeedTouch router (a Be Box). It is all according what router or modem u are using at the moment to get your stats go HERE .
When you get your MAC just give it to Be and they will do it from there and let you know your migration date.
