< Problems with upgrades to 8Mb ~ IP3 Max

I just typed out a huge message and it went into an error page.

Do Orange use the IP3 Max which BT use ?

Theyre saying I cant have more than 2mb because of this.

As far as i know it is waiting for Orange to upgrade people to ADSL max. My exchange is ADSL max enabled for 8mb speed but I cannot get this speed through Orange and they seem unable to say when i will.

I can have 8mb I had it before I moved to Orange 2 months ago. But they say no no no no.

It's only since october that new customers are supposed to get put straight onto ADSL Max, customers on 2 meg should be upgraded within 6 months and anyone on 1 or 1/2meg we have no info on.

Unless choose to pay to upgrade then you won't know exactly when you will be upgraded. They have a plan but they're not sharing what system they're using to decide the upgrades. Oldest first, newest first, alphabetical, probability of "churn"? Could be any of them or a combination.

Thanks they didnt mention any of this upgrade just that they will sort the 8mb out hopefully in 12 months time. Well done Orange !

Orange has just recently utilising IP MAX of BT, at times u might face slow connections

You can surely have a speed of upto 8MB provided your local exchange supports it.
