Ive been with Freeserve/Wanadoo/Orange for about five years and I wanted to chage for Sky's new service which was cheaper and faster.
I asked for my MAC code which hasn't appeared. I then called them up again and they told me that if I wanted to go to Sky I would hae to close the account and apply again, which would take a number of weeks. They then offered me 8Mb at £12.99 which I though was ok, as long as it wasn't for another year. I agreed with the call centre guy that I would take out a 6 month contract.
I got an email saying I had been put on a 12 month contract. I initially wrote an email asking for it to be put right but no answer. I then called again and was informed that there was no note of the 6 month contract agreement so it was put to a 12 month one and there was nothing I could do about it.
I have written to Orange, complaining and asking for the account to be closed.
My question is: If they have no record of me agreeing to a 6 month contract and I didn't agree to a 12 month and have not signed anything, how can they do this???
