I have wireless & talk. A PC upstairs connects to this no problems using the USB wireless receiver.
I have a new wireless laptop that I want to use, but I am having problems connecting it to the Livebox.
The Intel(R)PROSet/Wireless finds the livebox no problems, I click connect, but it wont connect. When I click repair I eventually get a message saying that windows could not finish repairing because it could not renew my IP address.
The laptop can connect to the livebox using the ethernet cable. I've read a few forums with messages from people having exactly the same problems? Any ideas?
Or, shall I jump ship to another ISP? Connection problems and phone line problems since the change to Orange are another story!
Make sure it's in pairing mode until you get it working wirelessly by pressing 1 so the antenna light flashes.
Log into 192.168.1.1 using the wired connection, use "admin" for both username and password to get in. Copy the WEP key from the Security > Wireless connection page and try connecting again.
Go into Configuration > Advanced > Wireless and set it to WPA only, let the livebox settle and try wireless again. If that doesn't work try it on WEP only.
