My parents have a bit of a problem with their new Orange broadband. Whent hey insertt he software installation discs they are told that the computer can't find kernel36.dll
I may be wrong on this, but surely kernel36 can't exist, being as binary moves from 16 bit to 32 bit on to 64 bit, and not to 36?
I just about managed to manually configre their livebox on my last visit, provided they use an ethernet cable. The belkin wireless dongle simply doesnt work as they livebox refuses to allocate an ipaddress (0.0.0.0).

Only thing I spotted for that filename are references to Windows ME, I hope they're not actually running that.

Make sure the WEP key was typed in right, just 26 characters as on the bottom of the box but no spaces. Also the livebox needs to be in pairing mode, press it's 1 button so the antenna light flashes. After that it's probably best to get ethernet setup first so you can access the box itself.
