Signed up for Orange Broadband in November, finally recieved my Livebox last weelk. Set it up and all seemed to be going well, but for some reason it will not accept my usernname/password.
I am installing it on a MAC, and followed the Bramley Apple guide. Whenever I enter my username I get an "Invalid ADSL Authentification" message. Has anyone ever encountered this problem before? Spoke to "tech support", but they were inable to help me in anyway.
Bah they should at least "try" and help. Some just hear the word "Mac" and won't help at all.
Make sure you're entering the details right.
username should be something like:
xxxxxx.orangehome.co.uk@fs
Depending on your account you could have wanadoo, freeserve, fsnet, etc in there instead of orangehome.
After that you're going to need to talk to Orange but I can give you a few things to ask.
Ask if the account is active and enabled in the two systems, they'll understand what to check.
Confirm the exact spelling of your username and password with them. It's easy to slip and hit another key during online registration or to be misheard over the phone.
Ask them to do a radius log check if possible. This should check what username is coming through and they should be able to take it from there.
