I signed up with Orange AKA Wanadoo wireless and talk in june 2005. my internet was intermitant and talk service never worked.August 2006 i received my first email from the company sayin Thank you Mr X for signing with Orange we can now confirm your wireless and talk is now operational. i went HA only took them 14months. In that time i have ran up a phone bill on miss leads - we will call you back in 24hours to confirm we have sorted your problem and your service should be operational. after 2 months of this i cancelled my direct debit and made some more phone calls. Most calls are not logged or recorded. notes are added that have no bearing on the problem in question. so the phone bill is now an hefty £226.81 just calls to wanadoo in a 14month period. i have sent all the bills to Rotherham HQ and they couldnt call or email to say they had been received but they was signed for., We will refund or compensate you for the calls made as soon as the service is running. well now its November 2006 nearly a near 2 years down the line.. and i got this letter 6 weeks ago.. Dear Mr X , your wireless and talk service as now been suspended due to an out standing balance on your account ? i called them to get no help from an indian lady that only replied im thanking you kindly sir, after 3 calls i got a letter a few days later saying i hadnt been in touch well as you can imagine my blood was going into a very Red position on the thermonitor WHAT well i immeadiately picked up the handset on the nearest phone to hand and called them plonkers at Orange. I see that my account is now terminated.. they said yes because you owe us 16months of line rental - they refused to call me back in this year and a half and then wont release my line ( MARKER )so i cant connect to another ISP. I called them today with a firm and upholding voice. After my 3rd call i got to Rotherham HQ and i jumped on the young man that was british and with a mild yorkshire accent on the other end of the phone. Now listen here young man I want this account closed ASAP and i want that Marker Removed. after he chuffed and puffed and tutted regained his breath he replied " no problem mr x i will do that right now for you ".that was the first bit of forwardness i had seen in all this time. Now im Free from them all and little do they know i will be moving house in the next few weeks and i will connect up to Sky Broadband as im a Employee of the company. 17months of hassle that could of been avoided. but Orange - Wanadoo didnt want to get intouch with me they never called once in that 17months on my mobile or landline,But the wanted there money.. today they said they had called and left a message i said who with a ghost as i live alone with a dog for company. I have tried but hes not so good at taken calls yet. Well i walked away with 3 months free a £230 phone bill so wanadoo you cost me a fortune. Thank the Lord for laptops and mobile data cards here here T mobile and there 1.8mbps broadband for £20 amonth, Mr X Burton on Trent, Staffordshire. aged 69
