Can i just say to all you people out there i know a bit about all this stuff going on, because i have been through all this. You can cancel your contracts under the SOGAS 1982 if you dont receive a service within a reasonable time (free broadband with your £30+ phone contact) then the trader is in breach of a condition of their contract, therefore you can rescind (cancel) the contract.

Best not doing all this legal rights stuff as it mostly doesn't cut any ice with large organizations. Orange will take you to the small claims court if you default on your contract. Do you want your day in court? If so well that's fine but I wouldn't advise it as it's a lot of hassle and stress and there are probably easier ways of getting things sorted. I suggest you just keep phoning them up and battering away with your your point of view. You don't have to use their 0870 national rate number to make your calls. You can phone the non national rate number which you can get from WWW.SAYNOTO0870.COM.
I'll join you - if they don't resolve my complaint, that's where I'm headed, and I think I have a case for them to answer, and damn sure teh monopolies commission wouldn't be too happy, either.
They have until Wednesday - then I go another step further. I'm buggered if their dirty, underhanded tricks are going to beat me. Watchdog, tabloids, legal recourse etc. Bring it on - I'm gonna take them all the way.
