I have been a Customer of Pipex for a while now and havnt had many problems with them.
For the few years I have been with them I have only had 2 major problems with my connection and that was because of hardware faults.
One was a server went down, but they shunted us all to the other servers and limited the bandwidth available to us all so at least we still had a connection.
The other problem was when the main router went down. Took about 4 hours to get back up and running again (but again with lower bandwidth until a fix was implemented).
Overall, Pipex has been really good. They also give you a dial-up account with their broadband account so at least if it stops working you can still connect with a dial-up modem!
Getting my own flat soon so im sticking with Pipex
