Hello,
First of all excuses for my bad english.
Iīm an Orange ADSL+ user in Spain, Iīve recently upgraded my livebox to its new release v5.10.3-sp.
Last monday Iīve received an sms on my mobile phone from Orange "On next days, please donīt reboot your LiveBox because it is going to be upgraded...it is to improve our Quality"
Ok, on that moment I prayed to God and all the Saints of heaven!!!
Yesterday, when I was connected to Internet, suddenly I lost my WiFi connection.
I rebooted the LiveBox Once and more times, checked Desktopīs wifi configuration, My PS3īs wifi connection fails, laptop too...
I remind the smsīs and get conclussions.. .. The livebox has been upgraded.
I moved livebox from its place to Desktopīs room and connect them by wire. But before several desktop and livebox reboots, I lost my faith and went to bed.
Today Iīve tested the new features on livebox adminīs page, and I saw that on Wifi setcion was a new option actived "WiFi easypairing". Iīve unchecked this option and everything works Ok again: all wifi access, is granted: laptop, desktop, PlayStation 3...
In conclussion: when new feature "WiFi easypairing" is active, the WIFI connection is down.
Questions... Why Orange release this? Why Orange doesnīt advice to customers??? To improve our quality??? which Quality??? not mine!!!
I use mobile, fixed, TV and Internet provided by Orange... I work in Orange Spain on Mobile Technical division, I have not relation with Fixed Networks or ADSL Networkīs access Department, because of this Iīve told you this big "tale".
Easypairing shouldn't normally make any difference, it even when turned on, as it is by default, it has to be specifically physically activated to do anything.
