You will get the sig stamped on your outgoing mail if you change your gmail smtp to your isp smtp and change the port to 25 but its mainly incoming that you want clean.

Thanks for that, I will investigate
I just like having the sig in outgoing mail as it shows that my AV is up to date
Yep been led by the nose on this one with Orange "Tech !!" support. Was a wanadoo customer so my SMTP was still smtp.wanadoo.co.uk. Problem with O/G messages not being sent started about 2 weeks ago. They were eventually sent but the problem got worse. Outbox filling up with a totally meaningless message of why they were not sent.
Tried IP 193.252.22.138 and my mail went first time. Many thanks to Admin for starting this site and to those who have helped me in at least finding a temporary solution
Outbox is now empty. A quick message to the peeps from Orange. Insist your managers tear up the old script and start to get to grips with the real world
Just tried sending an email for the first time since 13th and it didn't work under smtp.wanadoo.co.uk.
The 138 number worked and I've checked on the website and found smtp.orangehome.co.uk and that's fine too but did I miss the email saying the old wanadoo one wasn't going to work suddenly?!! How kind of them.
Thanks Steve. But (not wanting to display too much of my feet of clay to my daughter who's account it is) removing the account from OE will not remove the e-mail address details from the Orange end, so when re-creating the account, her particular e-mail address will already (as far as Orange are concerned) be in use won't it? Or am I missing something?
