Heres a copy of my original email when we first signed up to wanadoo..........
And heres an email from a few days ago...........
Upgrade my arse LOL
I guess it's an 'upgrade' since you moved from an 'up to 2Mbps' product to an 'up to 8Mbps' product.

Not all customers on Wanadoo Broadband Plus and Wanadoo Broadband Max are on LLU - in fact customers on non-LLU enabled exchanges can't be. Maybe Wanadoo apply some criteria to customers on LLUed exchanges - possibly using thr BT checker result, which in your case is wrong.
I think your first step needs to be getting the checker result changed (see my earlier post), since this could have repercussions now and in the future, whichever ISP you use.
Your exchange is ADSL enabled, and our initial test on your line indicates that your line should be able to have an ADSL broadband service that provides a line rate up to 1Mbps. However due to the length of your line the 1Mbps service may require an engineer visit who will, where possible, supply the broadband service.
Our initial test on your line indicates that it is VERY UNLIKELY your line will support a reliable broadband service, with current technology. However, an order for 250Kbps broadband speed will still be accepted, but an engineer may need to visit who will, where possible, supply the service.
If you decide to place an order, a further test will be performed to confirm if your line is suitable for the service you wish to purchase.
Thank you for your interest.
I don't know if you're aware of this but:
If you get this result from the BT checker, then the best bet for getting ADSL is to apply via an ISP with a 256Kbps product BUT it needs to be one that syncs at 256Kbps rather than one which syncs at a higher speed and is throttled back to 256Kbps further upstream. There aren't many such products.
Zen have one. It's not cheap, but it's a 1 month min. contract.
If it works and if the line stats indicate your line could handle it, then you can upgrade to 0.5Mbps with Zen. This would allow you to migrate to other ISPs.
All depends on the line, when they change people to LLU they test the line to see what it can support. Essencially LLU is like BT's ADSL Max so similar speeds should be achieveable.
Things change though when you actually try and send the real signal down the line.

Hi John, I work for an ISP in the north west who offer a 256K product...but i think it will mean throttling at a VP level.
Sorry to keep spamming, but heres my livebox readings.Im sorry but i dont know if they are good or not.

Whos is the better line???
Hi Mark,
Like almost everything else in life, there's no simple answer
If these readings are consistent over time, then your combination of line and set-up is better.
Your Livebox estimates 7Mbps is attainable v. 4Mbps on your dad's but take these with a pinch of salt.
You both have 41dB attenuation implying that you have similar length BT lines (attenuation as measured by a particular router doesn't vary significantly with line speed).
However, your noise margin is much better, even after allowing for the slower line speed. Your dad's margin looks a little low for a 2Mbps line and 41dB attenuation possibly indicating a noise/internal extension wiring/filtering issue.
For a more accurate test/comparison you should measure at the test socket behind the user-removable panel on the NTE5 master socket throughout the day.
(The Alcatel white paper referred to by LLUman elsewhere on this site suggests that the DLM system should take these measurements every 4Hrs for 7days initially and after every forced change of sync speed (or other profile element) on LLU. - I'll post a link in the Technical forum.)
So......... a short-ish answer to your question is that you need to use the test socket (to rule out internal wiring issues) and to take several readings (to rule out time-varying noise issues) to make a meaningful comparison.

that wanadoo says cant support over 1 meg
It's BT who are saying this. Wanadoo are apparently accepting it and possibly also using it as a basis for not moving you to LLU.
See my earlier post for how to get your BT checker result updated - I promise that I won't mention this again
Hopefully Wanadoo are taking notice of some of the posts here and tweaking their systems.
well my dad hasnt had connection at all for over a week now Wanadoo says it due to his line not being able to handle speeds over 2 meg.But if this was the case, surely he would get some kind of connection but would then just keep disconnecting But he is not gettiing anything at all.
