Sounds like the driver for the interal wifi adapter needs updated as there is a issue where wifi adapters with older drivers fail to pick up the livebox signal.
Your best bet would be to run the bug fix program which comes preinstalled on Evesham pcs or can be downloaded from this website which will come with a update for internal wifi adpater.
Have you tried using Wirelesss Zero Configuration as explained in Technical Article kb154 on the wanadoo web site
Otherwise it may be a faulty Livebox, I eventually convinced them that I needed a new Livebox as the signal strength from the box was poor and they sent me another which is better if not perfect.
