Looking at a 2004 Sagem Livebox user manual I see that it has WPA-PSK TKIP and WPA-PSK AES algorithm encryption. The choice of TKIP or AES algorithm is available in the user configuration menu.
However, the Orange Livebox configuration menu on my 2006 box does not give this option - I am guessing that Orange have 'hidden' this functionality?
The UK spec is only advertised as:
MAC address filtering
Authentification by WPA Encryption Key
WPA 128bit Encryption Strength
I am guessing that 'bcm' in the Wireless Card type means that the livebox uses a Broadcom Wireless Card?
AES encryption is superior to TKIP. My PC wireless card supports AES and so naturally if the Livebox can be switched to AES then I would like to do so.
Are there any 'hacks' available to enable AES as opposed to TKIP on the Orange version of the Livebox?

All UK liveboxes are made by Inventel, it works to similar specs but there will be minor differences between the two models.
The Sagem ones are from the continent and possibly just France.

Yes I believe it is a broadcom part.
