So then is it a fantasy that you can get hold of tech support?
They always seem to be experiencing high call volumes and leave u on hold for days. I just want to get a simple answer from them but it looks like it will cost me £100's probably cheaper to move but who else can give u the free phone calls 24/7 using livebox?
I've only had to ring Orange Techinal Suport (or Wanadoo when I upgraded to BB) once, when I went 2 months with a crappy unreliable connection.
It was a joke back then I suspect i'll be worse now, everyone you talk to is a robot and has absolutely no idea what they're talking about, even when you tell them you've done all the usual crap they always tell you to check, they still tell you to do it!
Fortunetly the last time I rang them, I got through to this guy who actaully understood what my problem was, and it was all sorted within a week.
yeah tech support really do suck, i find that Im getting through to British people if you phone later on in the day (about 9) i have to phone them soon about connection speeds anyways so will let you know if I get through to a brit.. but overall their customer service sucks and tech support really aint got a clue!
You may find a far better level of support if you post your questions on the forum rather than spend money calling India it may take a little longer but in my opinion there are a good few members here who have better tech knowledge than Orange phone opps.
I got my Livebox this morning.
I had trouble with the help file opening and telling me to disable my firewall (which was already disabled), when I ran the CD and clicked on "install live box".
Anyway, I called technical support this morning at 7:30am, the guy I spoke to was great and my connection was up and running within a couple of minutes!!
