Calls in the late afternoon/early evening seem to be when the quality is at the worst. People at the other end say the call drifts in and out or phase shifts (they then callme back on BT!). Guess is the busy time for internet anyway. At all other times the quality appears (from the point of view of the people I call) to be distinguishable form BT.
The call quality is one of the good things I find about Orange - especially since I used to use Skype. I transferred from the old "unlimited" - saved £8 per month and got free phone calls.
I have my livebox (radio OFF) connected to a DECT phone, and it is little short of excellent. I do realise that other people's mileage might vary, but I am certainly happy enough.

I agree with the above too.
I changed from the £27.99 to £19.99 saving £8 and free calls. I was unsure as we were on the old uncapped service, but after many emails/calls, we were still subject to fair usage policy. I too have bought an additional DECT phone with 2 handsets for the Livebox and find the call quality so far very good.
