The last couple of weeks i have been loosing my connection constantly every few minutes. I dont know if its a coincidence or not but i started loosing connection after i upgraded to 2 megs last october , any one with any ideas

By the way i got the free connection with my mobile phone,is that why i get sent to india, then the in turn send me to premium rate supposrt number.
( i was already with wanadoo when Orange took over)

What you are experiencing is the total mess Orange have made since taking over Wanadoo which was fine.
I, like the thousands of others on this site, have come here to let off steam.
Fortunately I'm well rid of their excuse for a service and movedto the fantastic Idnet 6 months ago.
No problems since.
It's more likely that the upgrade in speed has simply highlighted a pre-existing issue which before wasn't enough to interfere as higher speeds are always more sensitive to problems.
Check your wiring, that everything is filtered and that they're all ok. Try from the master phone socket, try the test socket if you can. Also posting your line statistics can help with the details.

If you're speaking to an Indian call centre, and you're on the free broadband, then you're dialling the wrong number.
Call 550 free from your Orange mobile and you'll get through to converged customer support.

Orange have not taken over Wanadoo, and the poster has been calling an old Wanadoo call centre, rather than the Orange mobile one he should be calling.
