I've tried everything, including having my problem 'escalated' within Orange, but nothing seems forthcoming so I thought I'd ask here.
Everything looks and works fine. The phone has a dial-tone and rings when I call the VoIP number. However, when the handset is picked up for either an incoming or outgoing call, the line goes dead after about 5 seconds.
I've tried all the obvious things. Different handset, making and receiving calls when the Livebox is turned off, factory reset of Livebox and even a re-flash of the Livebox firmware, but it still does the same thing.
Anyone else had the same problem? I've googled quite a bit and it seems like I'm the only one. Maybe I should just demand a replacement Livebox.
Guess it must just be me then. I'll get them to send a new LiveBox.
Nah your not alone here but i thought i was! If i make a call often it cuts out to a dulcid tone then if i redial its ok, if someone calls it will often make a annoying tone once answered. Either way this happens within a few seconds and not immediately. Quite frequently if i dial a preset number in any of 3 different phones i have tried it will say the number does not exist then after perseverence it will connect. The service which at best is 80% reliable has got worse since (A) I upgraded my speed (B) The Firmware was upgraded which after a factory reset has worked a little better.
If i get some monkey on the phone telling me a poxy adapter which i have never used is the problem again i will go bananas as it was always fine until they started to make changes to the service or firmware.
Any ideas whether the livebox has been screwed up proper?
