After my initial setup of my livebox I was getting dl speeds of about 6mb so I was happy enough, however within a couple of days I noticed that my landline had gone noisy and eventually stopped working altogether! I just had a permanent dial tone.
After a bit of investigating I found that disconnecting the extension to from the main socket my line worked ok again but by this time my dl speed had gone down to about 250k!!!
After reading posts on these forums I then found out about the line profiling etc so I just waited to see what would happen. My speeds gradually improved to about 3mb but have never got above this even though my livebox has been installed for over 10 days, This is very frustrating because I KNOW my line is capable of at least 6mb because I originally was getting those speeds.
I tried the BT speedtest and these are my results:

What should I do now? do I need to contact Orange?
Ask them to retrain your line as when it was trained you had a line fault .
You may of been getting 6mbps speed at first but when it couldnt hold that speed it dropped .
I was getting 6mbps when I first upgraded which has dropped to a profile of 5 mbps after training . Im quite happy as I was getting 2mbps before I upgraded .

But who do I ask? I tried calling Orange last night and it took about 20 mins to speak to someone, they then told me to call another number so it took another 10mins to get to speak to someone else, then they told me that they had a problem with their system and wouldn't be able to do anything?
Is it Orange I have to speak to or BT ? is there any other way of getting a new profile for my line? why don't Orange give people a code they can use on their website to request a line test? surely someone just needs to press a few buttons?
At least my speed has been capped at a reasonable rate!
