Wireless is usually a touch slower but the main thing is don't believe the mbps rate. You may be connected at that but you'll never see that sort of speed. The higher the encryption the more bandwidth that'll use first of all.
Shame about ethernet, may be interesting to see what sort of bandwidth you could get between a wireless PC and ethernet PC. Could show what sort of speeds the wireless is really supplying.
