I have been with this company since its freeserve days..
so when i had the oppertunity last week to upgrade from 2 meg service to 4.5 meg service i was quite pleased.
I now have download speeds of 0.1 mbps and the upload is quicker than the download!
i spent 20 mins of the phone last nigth to a technical support and they told me that i had to wait ten days as my line was being tested, you can barely understand the people on the phone adn the certainly dont understand you because they are in india. how can they be constantly tetsing my connection so much that i can barely download anything, online gaming is near impossible due to lag.
this slow connection has been going on since sunday am any one else have this problem?
i have been through all the tests and procedures they reccomend and im starting to get annoyed and now they tell me they have extended my contract!
To be honest i dont expected the wondefull speeds quoted as im a fair distance from the exchanged but 3 to 4 meg would be great. not the connection which at times is slower than dialup!
Speed issues for ADSL Max connections, which is what you've upgraded onto, cannot be raised until the system monitors and sets what the stable rate and threshold rates for connection speed are. This goes no matter how slow the connection is so all you can really do right now is wait.
If you can get your noise margin, attenuation, downstream and attainable stats they can be useful to work out what the line may be capable of.
