I have been trying to activate the free landline calls as told by the people at Orange by accessing their homepage and trying to enter my information. The problem is that I don't know with what email adress to log into the customer area. Whatever I try, I always get the reply that the adress has the wrong format. What format should it have? Has anyone of you expirienced such problems before? I have tried everything from firstnamelastname@orangehome.co.uk to firstnamelastname.orangehome.co.uk@fs and @orangehome.com. What do I have to enter? I was never really told my adress by them.

This should be just like your username they originally gave you but with your firstname at the beginning infront of the @ and no @fs at the end. If not try member@ or user@.
I've tried to enter the adress as you told me and it works. The problem is that it only takes me to another page where I'm asked to enter my E-mail adress and Pw again in order to manage my account. What adress do I have to enter there? The same one doesn't work and I've already tried a couple of possibilities that don't work either. The only message I get is that 'We didn't recognise your email address or password. Please try again.' What do they want from me?
The valid email address should be of the form something@userid.orangehome.co.uk. In my case the 'something' is my first name but it could be anything sensible.
If you can't guess it and have deleted your initial signup emails from Orange then call support and ask (but be prepared for a long wait if you call in the evening!). They can identify your account from your home phone number without needing the default email address.
Thanks, that works. How can you find out how to enter your E-mail adress if they don't tell you.. I got one final problem: When calling them, they just told me to sign in and enter our landline numer online and they would proceed the activation. I've been searching for a page to actually activate the wireless and talk mode for 15 minutes now, but I only find faqs and other articles about it and not the actual page or a link to it where I can enter my details and apply for an activation. It's so nice of Orange how easy they make all their free services accessible..
The talk service is supposed to activate automatically.
When you sign into your account look for a wireless and talk link, that should take you to info saying it's being activated, through to enter the details yourself or to a page saying it is active, what to do next/options.
I've tried to find a link. The only thing I can find is th link to Upgrade my account. If I click on it, I get an error message: 'Sorry - we can't regrade your broadband account. Please call customer support for more help.' and they tell me to call them. I'm pretty sure we have already upgraded and I was told at the phone that we are ready for the free landline calls.. However.. Guess I'll have to call them. I'm really not stupid, but I couldn't find that link..
Hmm well it may have already been activated and is just waiting to update the livebox. Try turing it off for a couple of minutes then back on. If after say 5 minutes the phone light doesn come on when it reconnects then give them a call and ask if the talk service has been activated, if not ask for it to be manually done, they'll want details from the livebox for that so make sure it's handy.
