I want to leave Orange, but when I asked for a MAC code, customer services tried to scare me by saying because I have a LLU line, there will be problems for me switching, and most companies wont accept my phone line for broadband!
Is this just rubbish to scare me from leaving?

only a few companies accept llu codes

generally you need to cancel your broadband (which will mean you will have no broadband for about 10-14 days)

your line will then be ready to be plugged back into the BT network or another suppliers llu services

Best ask the provider you want to go with if they'll accect LLU codes, some will accept them but you'll have to call to find out for sure usually.

I found a post of ISP's that except LLU MACs you can then tell Orange they talk utter crap lol
