I have been freeserve/wanadoo/orange customer since day one. Freeserve worked like a dream. When I moved under Wanadoo and had to move the account to a new address I had major problems with customer support. I bought a new PC and again had major problems. This summer I went on holiday, came back and I must have been upgraded to 2mb (I dont have a livebox), and I still pay £27.99.
This when major major problems started. I live in Epsom area and especially in the evening connection goes off many times in the evening, yesterday actually every 2 minutes or so.
I am fed up but:
I pay via debit card (no direct debit). I fear that Orange will still charge me even if I close the account.
I'd like to ask them If I could be charged an updated fee which must be lower than £27.99 but am afraid if I call them those idiots will totally mess up my account.
any ideas? any other users in Epsom area experiencing disconnections?

Why don't you look for a better ISP and pay for a service you will get? after all if you get it reduced you will still get the same service and problems you are getting now .

that is the problem, my password obviously works when I log into internet, but my logins and password have never worked on their websites, no matter how many times I have asked them what my login is.

If I have learned something it is not to bother Orange etc too much because there is a big chance they will mess up the account and connection big time. Also, I do not wish to talk to incompetent idiots which they clearly are!
well for the member centre it should be your normal password and email address. I read in another thread that there may be problems with logging into the member centre right now so you may want to check a couple of times over the weekend.
JN I was paying the same as you, 27.99. When I threatend to cancel they actually said I could have it for 14.99 as this is now the price for that package. They lie and cheat all the time, I've now left and if your contract is now ended as I suspect it must have I suggest you leave too.

Just remember YOU pay Orange for their service which a majority dont get they don't pay you they are their to be bothered if u aint getting their service, a contract works both ways, its a disgrace the way they treat their customers and is well known and documentated on other forums.
