We have a Live Box network on Orange/Wanadoo (the box is Wanadoo). We have Three computers already online with it. I bought the 360 a few days ago and yesterday bought the wireless adapter (official). The 360 is in my room, upstairs and the Live Box is downstairs. I have all of the details (WEP key etc.) but there's a problem. I don't think it's picking up the Live Box, and if it is it's picking it up wrong. The network available is listed, under the correct name, as a WPA network as opposed to a WEP network. I checked the status of my computer (in the same room) and WPA is listed on here. Is the Xbox reading the adapter rather than the Live Box? Is it possible to run Live that way? Where can I find the WPA key it’s looking for? I don’t know if I’m asking the right questions, but essentially does anyone know what I need to do to make Live work? Any help would be much appreciated.
I had a right job getting it to work with my Xbox 360
ended up giving the 360 a static IP and manually configuring it (works fine with WPA)
The WPA key is the same key as you use on the PCs. Its also printed on a label on the Livebox.
Also remember you have to pair (button 1) any new devices including the xbox adaptor
Which number is the WPA key? I have a WEP key, but have no idea what the WPA key is. Also, could somebody help me with a step by step process on how to connect the Live Box to the Xbox. I'm useless at this sort of thing and I didn't install the computer wirelesses.
Thanks for that. I entered the key and it worked. When I first tried it we were having connection problems. It was that simple - I didn't need to follow the link, just those five words, and I'm on. Thanks a lot.
