I came back from my holidays yesterday to find that I could not get online via the livebox.
Triangle icon was flashing rapidly and the icon furthest to the right was flashing 1 per second.
I dug out the Wanadoo installation CD to try and sort it that way, but no luck.
Tried the factory reset acouple of times, press button 1 etc, still the same.
Eventually phoned the helpline and after holding for about 20 mins, got through and spoke to someone only to be cut off.
Went through it all again and finally got through to someone, and after deciphering what language he was speaking, ended up trying to reset it again 3 times.
I was then put through to the 'tec guy' who once again was foreign and he sounded like he was speaking through a robot.
To cut a long story short, it seems I needed a 'recovery disk' never heard of it, and didn't get one when I had the livebox.
I was then asked if I had had a firmware upgrade, I told him that the last one I had was back last year.
So the upshot is that they are going to send me the recovery disk in the post.
Meanwhile I am using the broadband modem that they sent me before I signed up for the livebox.
The recovery cd's were only sent out with a few liveboxes shortly before the change to Orange, when that software was then included on the livebox install cd.
It may fix the problem or not, depends on the specifics of whats gone wrong.
CD arrived today.
Went through the repair procedure and re-installation, same outcome. Looks like the livebox has died.
Replacement should arrive Tuesday.
