When i was with them my exchange was LLUed last december and speed upgraded to 8Mb but my speed never got past around 2.5Mb (that was on the rare occasion i could connect) i was on 2Mb before the upgrade but when i questioned this too Orange i just got excuse after excuse even tho im only 70 metres from my exchange (opposite) they just wasn't interested, but when i migrated away my speeds increased to an average of between 5 and 6.7Mb with my new provider so if i was u i would wait till your upgraded free rather than paying £20 for sweet fa on most forums customers complain about Orange speeds, CS and TS or should i say lack of it.

If I understand those stats right that looks like it should be pretty stable, although with ADSL Max you should expect it to disconnect and resync a few times in the first 10 days.
was just waiting for the forums to get back to speed before making another post
bit dissapointing really
have tried a few speed tests - inlcuding the one at adslguide
it seems although the speed from my livebox to the exchange is 8mbit the speed from their to Orange hasn't improved much - the upload speed has doubled but the download speed has barely improved
i'll try it again in the early hours when there is less demand
perhaps this is a contention issue? I reccon Orange probably run at 50:1

Hi
You will never get what you sync at try DSL ZoneUK speedtests too (if you havn't already) you have 2 types to choose from custom or advanced plus you can see everyone elses from different ISP's results too.

Hi
Have you rebooted your router since your upgrade ? also i would give it at least 3 days . DSLZoneUK is as accurate as you will get but you will have to do tests at different times of the day so you can determine your max speed my fastest speeds seem to be in the mornings and evenings but im on ADSL Max .
try this link here put in the relevant details and it will estimate what your line is capable of to give you some idea.

Reboot it as soon as you can so it can resync and settle down its best when u speedtest that u use the same site otherwise you will get conflicting results.
