I lost my broadband connection suddenly in July, different reason was giving everytime I called. Finally admitted that it was the line upgrade from 2mb to 8mb. Waited patiently for another 10 days, nothing happened.
Need the internet connection as I work from home, manager from the call center suggested dial up, anything is better than nothing at this point. Also being told refund will be given for lost days of connection.
Received bills from BT, £30 of call charges. That's odd, I am on Wireless & Talk, no call charges from BT for 6 months already. Well, it's the dial up charges. Emailed Orange & asked for refund. Nasty reply saying it's my fault to use the dial up, I chose to do it. NOT A PENNY. I didn't even ask for the call charges I made in July to resolve the problem.
I don't even know how to get the dial up connection without help from Orange Call Center, how can it be my fault, I have been so loyal with this company, I have been with them since they were Freeserve, 10 years !!!

I am fuming .It's about time I change ISP.
Yeah Orange are devious in 'doing it all over the phone' which is making them money, and will probably deny anything they have 'promised'.
Complain to ISPA, they may be able to mediate a refund.
In the end though, you should leave like the rest of us and not give that thieving bunch of liers another penny.
They do NOT value customer loyalty, customers to them are only punters available to be screwed for as much money as possible (especially when still tied to a contract). You pay for a service, then pay even more when it doesn't work .
Why aren't the 'help' lines free or low-call - because they can make more out of your misery when they mess up.
Their farcical 'free (not working) broadband' with an overpriced mobile (12 Month) contract
or
They send you a Livebox to supposedly fix broadband issues (which were created by them) ...with a sneaky 12 month contract attached to it
are 2 prime examples of this.
Get out if you value your money...and sanity.
I can't vouch for IDnet yet (hopefully will be connected this week) but have had far more help from them than Orange in my last 2 months of Broadbandless misery.
