Can anyone help, I only live 155 meters from my exchange, had my BT line upgraded and I can only ascertain 2.2Mbs. Is this right with the readings below?

If you're not on LLU then yes 2 meg is the most you will get for now. Roughly November is when ADSL Max comes in allowing upto 8 meg for everyone not in an LLU area.

If it's saying you're sync'd at 8128 kbps and it's not the potential maximum value (forget what it's labelled as now) then yeah, you're not getting the full speed.
You've got the right speed to the exchange but not getting the actual data throughput coming close to that. You'll have to call and get them to put through a line test. If you can try disconnecting everything else from the line, make sure the livebox is at the master socket, prefrably using a wired connection, run Three speed tests at different times of the day. Hopefully then they'll have to put a test straight through with little hastle asking you to do much first.
Much appreciated Elhana. With the chances of me looking like a p**t, do I phone BT or Orange? If it’s Orange they been running a line test since 15th March, its go lost in the system somewhere and Orange keep telling me to “phone in 5 days time“
That usually means it's "stuck" preventing further testing going through so the issue is sent off so it can be "unstuck". As it's LLU there's not much point calling BT, they can do basic line checks to make sure things are ok from the phone side, which can effect broadband too, but thats unlikely to help in this sort of situation.

Still I’ve only got Three months before I jump ship, it’s a shame as I do like Wanadoo/Orange on every else, except the lousy download speeds with the attitude, ‘if you don’t it, walk’
