I realise that this is a problem with a French rather than a UK Orange account but I am hoping that someone might be able to help me.
I am trying to use Outlook 2003 to send/receive messages to my own domain via an Orange.fr (wanadoo.fr) broadband connection.
I can set up an e-mail account with my incoming mail server set to my mail.domain.org ; outgoing server set to smtp.orange.fr and with the appropriate authentication settings. This tests (test account settings) ok.
However, I find that I can receive e-mails but messages don't leave my out box, despite the send/receive routine performing without any errors.
I read on the forum about Orange UK users overcoming this problem by using a specific server DNS address (eg 193.252.22.138) and setting the out port from 25 to 587.
I have consequently tried using all the smpt.wanadoo.fr server addresses (e.g 80.12.242.9 etc) with the 587 port but to no avail.
Does anyone have any other suggestions as to what I might try?
