I have a few questions just wondering if someone technical can help me out,
I play on Xbox Live quite a lot and sometimes suffer from bad Lag, I don't know If I have my Livebox set to the right settings, I have my Xbox connected to my Livebox via ethernet cable to the yellow port, does it matter if I use the red or yellow port?
What is the best security type to use for gaming WPA or WEP?
I have dmz configured for my Xbox as I have a static IP Address,
Does a Sky box inter-fear with my broadband connection?
I also disabled upnp in my router settings as I don't think I need this because I have configured dmz,

You mention the Sky box. If it's a + or HD box & is connected to the phone line then check that it's filtered or even double filtered. Sky installers don't normally fit filters and that can play havoc with your connection.
As for LLU it depends what package you've signed up to. Try posting your router stats.

Even though 0range have their equipment in your local exchange you're not on their LLU service but using BT's IPStream connection. This tends to be well overloaded at peak times giving poor to appalling download speeds & equally bad ping times meaning lag issues.
I'd contact 0range sales & maybe they could upgrade your package to one of the LLU products, providing they have the capacity.
However with your attenuation your speeds won't be great , maybe 2.5 meg , BUT overall responsiveness should be much better & that speed should be attainable even at peak times.

I'am getting 3 meg speeds all the time, which is fine with me, Just sometimes the lag is a issue,
What about the Livebox security key, what is best to use?
There have been posts in the past which reported WPA not working with Xbox/portforwarding/DMZ so WEP having to be used but even those cases were later resolved by altering other settings like firewall/AV....but don't assume I'm correct because I don't have Xbox, I don't use portforwarding or DMZ.

My only advice is if WPA/WPA2 works then use it.
I'am just think does this affect my connection from Livebox to Xbox as I'am connected via ethernet cable anyway, so would it not make any difference? Sorry I'am not to smart on this stuff.
