<Livebox Issues? ~ Livebox hard wired to Netgear WNR2000 bridge mode N wifi

I have been trying for a couple of years to find a way to get N-speed wifi at my home. I have a Livebox and have to keep the livebox as I call a lot of family in South Africa and elsewhere.
I currently have a Netgear N-Router WNR2000 hard wired to the Livebox running in bridge mode, and it works OK, but I have to unplug and replug the Livebox about 10 times a day, it is very frustrating given that I dont sit next to the Livebox.
I bought a Livebox2 from France hoping that would simply fix my problems, but I get a constantly flashing @ symbol and no internet connection.
Is there anything you can suggest, either with the Livebox2, or with a hard wired wireless bridge solution.
