I had signed up to dialup anytime and have been paying £14.99 for unlimited for the last 3 months (can't get bb) and I got my phone bill - £615!!! Apparantly my pc had been dialing a pay per minute account, despite me paying for unlimited. I rang and they told me that this happens all the time and they would credit my account with £40 immediately as goodwill and if I write with myphone bill they would reply within 3 days. I wrote on 11 Aug recorded delivery and have received the reply today. Basically they are saying its my fault and I should have checked the number my pc was dialling but they are prepared to pay £100 in full and final settlement. My objections are that my pc was only dialling the number that was installed from the disc, so how would I know this is correct or not? Also that they have accepted my £14.99 pm for the last 3 months so surely they know that im dialling an incorrect number? And also I haven't received the £40 on account that they promised, so is the £100 inclusive or on top of the £40 (if I ever get it).
What are my rights, who can I get further advice from and do you think £100 is an acceptable offer?

Take the lying thieving crooks to court!
I can understand mistakes but refusal to accept responsibility is unacceptable.
Write to the ISAP or put the shits up 'em with some legal letter, sounds to me, and anyone with common sense, that you're within your rights.
We had the EXACT SAME ISSUE with BT a few years ago when we switched from paygo to anytime
they failed to inform us of a new number to dial - result phone bill over £100
the best we got out of them was 3 months free internet because the phone bill was "another part of BT"
