After the problems of the past few weeks where our Orange.net accounts were totally locked and inaccessible (due to this 'Orange internal spam'/'global issue'), it looks like I am since unable to send to Hotmail addresses. I have tried a number of friends with Hotmail addresses but these never get through. I have managed to send to Yahoo.
I recall this happening last year, and which took quite a few months to resolve - it was down to Orange having got themselves blacklisted with Hotmail due to their spam problems (could this be co-incidental with recent problems?)
Like the previous time, I am not getting any kind of returned mail/blocked mail from Hotmail servers to tell me that the host has been rejected, just nothing.
Having already been inconvenienced for the past month with email problems which are nothing that I have caused, could you please talk to your technical team to confirm whether this is an issue again?
Glad I'm not the only one, there are probably thousands of customers with this problem but unless you check that 100% of e-mails arrive then you'll never know about it!
Orange tell me they've never heard of this problem before!!!!

If enough people call then Trading Standards will take it seriously and make sure that it gets fixed. If people don't call then they won't. It only takes about 5 minutes.
am interested to read this - I need to communicate with a couple of people with AOL accounts; whether or not they ever receive my emails is a matter of luck - this recently made unfortunate difficulties for our (small)business. I discovered some time ago that 'webmail' could be relied upon to get through, which helped, although is an absolute pain having to log into it whenever I need to send one email; however this too is now unreliable - recently several emails sent via this method have simply disappeared also.
Am now seriously considering changing ISP.
No one at Orange ever helped when I rang and I am sick to death of it.
This has been going on for a good few years and i cant email my fiancee in Canda either as her ISP has blocked Orange. They know all about it but move at the speed of a snail in reverse. i am so fed up i am leaving Orange when i get back from Canada in September.
I have given them months/years to sort it out and i have lost business over it so thats it for me.
I am really fed up with the service from Orange. I have complained about Emails that do not get through to GMX Hotmail and Tiscali, but they just say that they cannot look at individual lost Eamil cases. It is obvious that it is a wide problem, causing severe problems to many. You would think after yeras of the same problem that they would sort it out. I think that trading standards is the only way forward.
