Managed to keep at this sync all afternoon and evening until just before 11pm when the DLM throw a wobbly and resynced about 8 times in 10 mins forcing me down to 12 meg and a snrm of 8.7.
Turned on router this morning and have got the following speed, with forced and saved SNRM tweak using DG Team firmware,.
adslctl: ADSL driver and PHY status
Status: ShowtimeRetrain Reason: 8000
Channel: FAST, Upstream rate = 959 Kbps, Downstream rate = 14896 Kbps
Link Power State: L0
Mode: ADSL2+
Channel: Fast
Trellis: U:ON /D:ON
Line Status: No Defect
Training Status: Showtime
Down Up
SNR (dB): 4.7 14.9
Attn(dB): 35.5 18.5
Pwr(dBm): 18.9 12.4
Max(Kbps): 18625 960
Rate (Kbps): 14896 959
Tim, do you lose the power light on the DGN2000 and the internet light when using the DG Team firmware?
Also any idea on how I can get my upload speed increased? Anyone know why the DLM has downgraded my upload speed. I have emailed the Orange exec office but had not reply yet. If I can handle 15 meg down, surely 1.2 meg up is not asking for too much!

That light problem with DGT's firmware is well known. Sometimes the Internet light is on for me but mostly both are off.
Strange that the DLM re-synced you as it's so far never done that for me.
I remember that when I first played with the SRNM - not with modded firmware that holds the setting - that I lost upload speed by about the same as you but eventually the DLM restored it for me. Maybe it took a week but I can't be sure.
Thanks Tim with regard the lights not being on the router. Maybe the next firmware will fix it.
I have had a resync after less than 30 mins:
adslctl: ADSL driver and PHY status
Status: ShowtimeRetrain Reason: 1
Channel: FAST, Upstream rate = 959 Kbps, Downstream rate = 13242 Kbps
Link Power State: L0
Mode: ADSL2+
Channel: Fast
Trellis: U:ON /D:ON
Line Status: No Defect
Training Status: Showtime
Down Up
SNR (dB): 8.1 14.9
Attn(dB): 35.5 18.5
Pwr(dBm): 19.7 12.4
Max(Kbps): 19010 960
Rate (Kbps): 13242 959
But the figures are still good although the 15 meg speed last night was superb.
Have you got the DMT tool up and running on this router? When you tweak with that tool, the router does not hold the new value after a reboot but the DG Team firmware does allow it with no problems.
Anything else I should know about the DGN2000?

How are you tweaking the noise margin? You do know that you do it within the router don't you not by DMT or RouterStats?
In the Advanced ADSL Setting I've unchecked multimode , all other types are checked and the SNR percentage I've taken down to 10% and that holds me at around 5dB consistently.

Strange, the DLM hasn't affected my SRNM figure at all since I used the DGT firmware. That's about 3 weeks ago now.
I power off most nights & occasionally it's not be on at all for a day or so but still I hold 5dB & 17,300 download.
After the first month of issues with 0range I've not had any issues with the DLM and speeds but you had a nightmare. There's got to be something about your line that's distressing the DLM so.
I set it at 10%, manually resync by applying and the router holds the new SNR even after a reboot. However it is the DLM that steps in after a while and forces my speeds down.
Ater a manual reboot of router after tweaking to 10% using DG Team firmware:
adslctl: ADSL driver and PHY status
Status: ShowtimeRetrain Reason: 8000
Channel: FAST, Upstream rate = 959 Kbps, Downstream rate = 15060 Kbps
Link Power State: L0
Mode: ADSL2+
Channel: Fast
Trellis: U:ON /D:ON
Line Status: No Defect
Training Status: Showtime
Down Up
SNR (dB): 4.8 14.8
Attn(dB): 35.5 18.5
Pwr(dBm): 19.0 12.4
Max(Kbps): 18902 960
Rate (Kbps): 15060 959
So my router holds the new tweaked SNR, however will the DLM allow it, from what has happened yesterday evening and early this morning, the answer will be NO!

This retrain reason seems to be only from an "external" resync. I just did a DSL Resync via DMT and my SRNM jumped to 10.5 & speed to 14,500 and 8000 for the reason.
I then just did an "Apply" within the router Advanced ADSL settings and it was back to normal - for me that is - of SRNM 5 & speed 17,300.
