Hi, can anyone help? Have just ha d a new livebox and managed to connect our 2 laptops and xbox to it no probs. However, am trying to get connected the our PC and no joy. The new livebox is there on the network list, put new wep key in and won't connect.
Tried putting in the CD but message comes up saying the application own't work on my current operating system. Need XP SP1+.

Can anyone help me get the pc connected?

What error message are you getting?

in theory you dont need the setup disk.

delete the old connection, create a new one, entering new wep key and making sure you have pressed the pairing button on the livebox.

Hi, the message I get says that the application wo't work on my XP operating system & I need XP SP3+.

I can't see that the previous livebox is there but where will I find it to delete it and replace it with the new livebox with the new wep key?

Ok, I assumed you were getting an error when you manually tried to connect.

I believe the manual steps to connect assuming you have the wireless drivers already installed are:

Click Start, then select Control Panel.

Click Network and Internet Connections. The Network and Internet Connections window opens.

Click Network Connections. The Network Connections window opens.

Right-click Wireless Network Connection.
Select View Available Wireless Networks. The Connect to Wireless Network dialog box opens.

Select the network you want to connect to, enter wep key, then click Connect (dont forget to press the pairing button on the livebox, prior to connecting)

Service Pack 1 is an update to Windows XP available from Microsoft. I believe Service Pack 3 is the current and supercedes Service Pack 1 and can be downloaded. These updates would include security fixes as well as some functionality changes. Microsoft claims these updates make wireless networking easier.

just do a normal windows update and it will do it automaticly its an oficial microsoft update from there website and its 100% safe you should have it anyway you should always update windows especialy xp not many things work with service pack 1
