[Like a lot of you we have a number of consoles. All of these are internet ready but having real greif with DSi. My Wii is working ok with my Orange Livebox as are my two laptops. The DSi WAS working ok but now isnt and I cannot get my daughters new DSi - XL to loink up. What is strange however is that I know my settings are all corenct as have had the DSi working fine with the settings. Even stranger is that I can for example put Mario Kart into both of them and play online (the same settings put into the Game card section), however I cannot get online with eiether of them to the Shop, Internet etc
come on....a challenge surely.....hope someone can advise
ps - My router settings also have NOT changed [/b]
Important note about the Nintendo DSi and WPA security: While the Nintendo DSi is compatible with WPA security, Nintendo DS games with online play still require the use of WEP or no security to connect with the Nintendo WFC. Therefore, your connection settings for using these games must be set up on slots 1-3. In the end have managed to do it by following the info below...off for some paracetamol......
1. on your inventel box press the 1 button and the net icon on the box should start flashing.
2. make sure the dsi wireless communications is set to on.
3. after selecting the internet icon, choose connection settings.
4. next choose advanced setup and any connection between 4, 5 or 6.
5. next choose search for an access point.
6 choose the wanadoo liveboc icon.
7. now important! choose WPA-PSK(TKIP).
8. click on the blank box underneath it and input your wep key (this is should be on the underside of your livebox, its the big long number)
9. all of the other settings should be on auto – although I chose not to choose auto and input them all myself from the details on the Router config pages
