Hi, i've been with Orange since the freeserve days, and have been on the starter broadband service, the one with the speedtouch modem, since november 2007, i recieved an email today from Orange which read the following
Hello
We're making some changes that could mean you may be able to speed up your home broadband package.
These changes are due to be completed on 26/02/2010 at some point between 8am and 6pm. It'll only take about half an hour, but during that time you won't be able to get online.
when i first went on broadband with Orange, its was called the broadband starter package with the standard speedtouch 330 modem, do they not offer this package anymore, has all I see is the home starter, select and ultra?

I think that package was an up to 2 meg package. I'm assuming they've scrapped that altogether and stuck with the minimum (which is 8 meg).
If you can email your landline number/broadband account number and best contact number to customer.services@orange.co.uk, I'll give you a ring to discuss.
So I can pick up your mail quickly, please add 'Jonathan Orange Response' in the first line.
