I'm on the verge of throwing my Livebox out of the window. In the last 6 months it developed this problem where it would ignore all my custom settings & port forwarding options and the Settings page would just read "An internal error has occurred, please reboot your livebox." Rebooting the Livebox didn't solve anything, so after an hour on the phone to the call-centre in India I was told to do a factory reboot, wiping all my settings & requiring me to pair all my wi-fi devices all over again. It's gotten to the point now where it happens at least every 3 weeks. On top of this, the router is so buggered that it sometimes displays error messages in French.
So I called the call-centres again, and spent an infuritating 4 hours on the line, repeatedly explaining my problem. As soon as you deviate from the script they can't handle it, and the 'tech department' started trying to fix intermittent connection problems that didn't exist. I was basically told that because it connects to the internet, there is nothing wrong with the router. I was told to carry out a series of line tests, to make sure it wasn't a problem with my line (?) but at that point I'd had enough. They obviously didn't have a fix for my issue and refused to discuss sending me a new livebox.
The problem has since gotten worse, and after the last reset the Livebox drops the connection every 25 minutes. I can't bear to spend any more of my life on the technical helpline, but I can't see any alternative. Does anyone have any advice on how to fix this problem, on how to get a new Livebox out of the customer service guys, or on how to get transferred to a British technical support team who are actually familiar with the product? If you could help me at all I would be extremely grateful, as at the moment this Livebox is the bane of my life.
If you can email your landline number/broadband account number and best contact number to customer.services@orange. co.uk, I'll give you a ring to discuss.
So I can pick up your mail quickly, please add 'Jonathan Orange Response' in the first line.
