We haven't had a connection for 3 weeks now, everytime we try to connect the signal drops after a few seconds & often our devices can't find the livebox.
We have spent ages on the phone talking to Orange but sadly the ladies reading the boards at the call centre finish by offering us a call back which sadly doesn't happen.
Often a technician will ask us to monitor our connection speed 3 times a day but we can't as the signal drops off after a few seconds, if we can find it at all.
Whenever the signal is available, we have to re-enter the WEP key.
If anybody can help, we would be very grateful as we are pulling our hair out here.
We have now spent over 3 weeks piggy backing off our neighbours & drinking coffee in Mcdonald's to pick up our mail.
Help please.

If you are talking about your wireless connection, try changing the channel number on your livebox, another device nearby could be causing interference.
Also when pairing with the livebox make sure you use the pairing button.
Thank you very much everybody !
We really appreciate all you help & advice.
1. Yes it's wireless.
2. We cleared the room from all electrical devices.
We removed all electrical appliances which left a 10 metre space from everything
"plugged" in.
3. An email has been sent to Jonathon from Orange.
Thanks to all who helped in the forum & those that sent us mail.
Brilliant .
We are seriously very, very grateful.

Amazingly Thomas, some of our lovely neighbours have kindly allowed us access.
A few are following this thread too.
Atleast one ( who is looking for a new ISP ) have made it clear that they WON'T be signing up with Orange.
Let's hope "Jonathan" or one of his counter parts contact us soon.
The 3 weeks has now become 4.

I meant could be interfering with your routers frequency?
Thanks again Thomas.
We can't find anything that would suggest interference..& we have asked our immediate neighbours.
Still banging our heads against the wall here.
Expecting a reply from Orange here as they promise on their website to get back to us within a couple of days & we last phoned / mailed them on Friday ( it's now Monday lunchtime ).
This forum will be the first to know the out come .

I'm not sure that you have understood ThomasA's advice.
Please read this regarding changing the wireless channels on a Livebox :-
Quote:
Log onto the Livebox configuration screen, either by opening a browser and typing in 192.168.1.1, or by double clicking on "Configure The Livebox" on your desktop.
Type in the username and password for the Livebox (NOT your broadband account) and click OK.
The default values here are "admin" and "admin" for both the username and password.
Navigate through the menu on the left:
Security -> Wireless Connection
Change the "channel number" to any other number and then click Submit.
Wireless Channel is now changed.
Before doing this download for free inSSIDer from http://www.metageek.net/produc...s/inssider this will identify which channels your neighbours are using.....yours needs to be at least 2 channels away from theirs to prevent interference.
Many apologies for the long delay in replying.
Over the last month or so several of our neighbours have shared their connection & many of you will not be surprised to hear have had the same problem.
The Orange name has gone the same way as " British Gas" in our area.
We all have rubbish Connections & are looking to other providers.
