I am having a problem downloading from photodex.com. I have an Orange Livebox and am on Orange Home Max. My download speeds are good running about 6-7 Mbps but still can not view my saved photodex slideshows as they take anything up to two hours for an 80Mb show. If i download an exe file from same site it is also very slow. I can access this site and play shows at my other pc which is on BT Broadband even though it runs a bit slower at downloading. I used to be able to view these shows no problem but not having viewed them for a few months dont know exactly when this started. Tried rebooting live box and all the usual fixes but nothing has worked. I can click on you tube and other video hosting sites and stream them no problem but as soon as i click on the px files in my photodex shows I just get buffering and the time eg 2.50.39 and the % for the download. Also if I try to download .exe program files from this site they are so slow I just give up. All other sites I use seem to be fine. Anyone had this or any suggestions would help. Thanks.
I can download 20mb program file from the photodex webssite in just under 5 mins on my BT Broadband connection. Can download from other sites on Orange very quick too but not photodex, same download would take at leasr 15-20 mins, even trying at various times throughout the day, normally fastest first thing in the morning as you say ,time difference. Just noticed the videos on youtube are not streaming now either, stopping and starting while viewing. Seems like something slowing the downloads so still suspect the livebox but maybe something else, does Orange cap downloads? How would we find out?
