Tim.
did you find out if your line has interleaved off?
borednow, anyway Tim could tell?
No I didn't as there's no way within my router to check this.
Just had a call from the Executive Office as a follow up to my email. They are aware there are some issues with DLM and appreciated my input and are trying to progress things with the designers of this part of their system with a view to getting it right.
Don't hold your breath but I felt their intentions are genuine as I think they realise the adverse affect on their customers.
If I personally have any speed issues I can contact them directly which is good.

@BroadbandKing
Re. the above...have you seen my PM of yesterday ?
yes got your message, a most interesting read and of course cv.
Worth an email do you reckon?
It may be worth an email to him but if he's involved in trying to get the DLM working properly then it's possible you'll not get a prompt response.
Or now that they've admitted a problem, drop an email to Executive Office mentioning his name....no harm letting Orange know that perhaps you know a little more than they might think .....RESPECT.
The DLM resynched my router at 2pm today, 2nd time today. However no speed increase, however hardly any FEC errors are being reported now.
Not sure whether that is progress or not, looks like the DLM is struggling to get me to the next profile!

DLM is not yet fully fuctional with oranged and should only runs for 2 to 6 weeks if this is not the case you might want to speak to escalations and demand answers
p.s. demand is a strong word just ask for a technical guru and have a laugh with them. thats my way round anyways i always get what i want

I've just scanned some of the other forums for similar threads re. slow 20Mb connections.......there seems to be none......on Orange's own site nor on Thinkbroadband's Orange section....strange ?
I had a chat with someone from Orange who knew a bit about the DLM process and they told me that the DLM works on 1 1/2 days of data before deciding whether to put the speed up or not.
Yesterday at around 8am, the DLM was supposed to put my line on the 6 meg profile but did not! Orange cannot see any reason why it failed to move me upwards! They are currently looking into it for me. I asked if they could be some manual intervention and they said they would see what they could do without any promises.
At the moment I am still stuck on the 4 meg profile, however my router is reporting a max speed of almost 15,000.
I guess the next time the DLM will try and improve my speed will be somewhere around 8pm tonight, if the 1 1/2 day of line data is needed between tests.

That does seem very similar to the BTw DLM system which is why there is a 10 day "training" period on IPStream/WBC.
Also when there's a line problem, that effects a change in their IP Profile which then takes up to 5 days to recover.
Also....like your connection at the moment.....the BTw IP Profile is prone to "stick" which requires manual intervention.
I wonder if BTw have licensed their technology to Orange ?
I noticed an announcement yesterday that BT are getting into bed with o2 (now Sky).
