Over the last week I seem to have periods when sending (from Outlook 2007) via my home broadband connection fails for hours and sometimes days.
This morning it failed for an hour then worked again.
I have seen the same with receiving emails as well at time although not today.
Any ideas as to what is going on, I am not changing settings or anything it just stops working with a range of errors "no reply from server", "timeout connecting to server" and so on.
More important are there any ideas on what I can do about this?
I have a google mail account that I can send to when this happens so I am pretty sure its something going on at the server end of things but what?
Same here. SMTP.Orangehome.co.uk as the the outgoing server. It can work fine for a few hours and then just stop responding, then start working again a few hours later. Very hit and miss. It's the same with smtp.orange.co.uk and any other variation. Can be very frustrating when you're trying to respond to an urgent email!
